I love how rich this recipe is and how it fill the air with the warm and cozy smell of Autumn, of course you can make it any time of year. If you need a more crumbly texture because you’d like to use it as a stuffing; Substitute Sour Cream instead of Cream Cheese, Canola Oil instead of Butter and Buttermilk instead of Milk.

Ingredients

  • 256 grams Cornmeal

  • 170 grams All Purpose Flour

  • 113 grams Granulated Sugar

  • 21 grams Baking Powder

  • 7 grams Salt

  • 170 grams Cream Cheese softened

  • 2 Whole Eggs

  • 135 grams Melted Butter

  • 185 grams Buttermilk

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 375F and grease an 8 inch cake pan OR line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • Whisk all the dry ingredients together. In a separate bowl whisk together the wet ingredients.
  • Combine the wet mixture with the dry, making sure there are no lumps.
  • Spread evenly in the desired baking pan and BAKE at 375F for 25-30 mins in the cake pan or 15-20 minutes or until the top is golden brown, you can also test with a knife or toothpick.
  • It’s best if you serve it warm.
